Chelsea Of Arc
I illustrated Chelsea Manning as Joan of Arc. I thought it is a fitting metaphor because they both went to war in Mesopotamia as men, but in reality were women underneath. They both were persecuted and Manning is also an objectively heroic figure that Joan of Arc is often portrayed as. They stand for different ideas and I tried to put different things that to me represent what is unique about her. I hope she can be free again as soon as possible and wish her success in her political career going forward.
Satirical Cartoons
I did some satirical cartoons.
1 "Can Boris finally deliver Brexit?"
2 "Wizard"
3"Daphne Caruana Galizia"

Absolutely Brutal
I'm doing some study drawings of the sculptural character of expressive modern architecture. When these architects confined themselves to using concrete and other modern materials and eschewed historical reference and ornamentation, they've created a new aesthetic of shape, form and texture. Eventually I want to combine this sculptural quality but include more ornamentation, or have some mashups with historical styles too. What would a building with similar design shapes and greebles but with Gothic or Classical ornamentation look like? The answer is funny.

Water After Apple
This is kind of a political cartoon. I
was spurned by the death of Stephen Smith after being deemed fit for
work by the DWP. I thought of this idea after watching Daniel Blake, a
fictional film about the same topic. Meritocracy does not fit with a
system of entitlements

Sketchy Sketch 23
I've spent a lot of time in cafes. Sometimes I draw what I see when I'm sat there. Here's some drawings like that.

Smeagove, an Unlikely Hero
"It must be destroyed forever!" Hamwise yelled, urging Joris Bonson to cast the key into the pit. Joris looked down at the little key and his confused look turned into an evil grin as the power consumed his mind. "Why should I?" Joris whispered like a ghost, "It's my birthday present after all."
Suddenly, out of the shadows leaped Smeagove, grasping at the precious key in a furious rage of jealousy. During the struggle the two dropped the key only for it to be recovered by Hamwise's faithful crow, Mayven. She snatched it up into her claws and dives head first into the pit at the centre of Mount Doom where the key will forever be destroyed. And so Smeagove has become the unlikely hero of our tale. Heroism can come in many forms, even a wretched twisted creature bereft of morality and humanity.

The Battle of Woof Bay
This painting is where my cute-sketch style has started to infest my real paintings. This initially was an idea for a birthday card, that was changed to a normal sailing ship. The bordering is a more baroque stile to match the age of the sail.

Sketchy Sketch 22
Completely new and original character designs. "Sponge Robert Rectangle-Pants", "Patty", "Squidworth" and "Superb Martin Brother". This is a perfect study on how more detail always means better character design.
