GrundsChrisft
I made another font. This one wasn't for a book this time, but just for fun. I like the font Grundschrift. I wanted to make something a little like that, but I put the way I like to write things into it. (Hence the name "GrundsChrisft") When printing, I like to write like this, except I don't usually write my zeros with a slash nor my nines with a curly foot. But it was too tempting. There are a lot of differences with "Grundschrift" of course, it's not a copy, but mostly different is the tight kerning. Anyhow enjoy.

The Invincible Team of Power
So I tried to do a sort of political satire painting. It's not quite what I wanted. It doesn't really look authentically old timey enough for me, but I tried. It was hard for me to continue this painting, really hard. It sat in limbo for months and slowly the references are slowly becoming irrelevant. This was even before the "Red-White-and Blue Brexit" statement.

Sketchy Sketch 15
This time I didn't bother to adjust the color of the scans. I've decided the paper and ink color look fine as is.
I was on a long weekend and this is what I did instead of socialising. I made up some buildings that were inspired by some minecraft buildings I made, which were inspired by Byzantine architecture images I researched (looked at on google images)months ago.
The second image is the tired joke about a big frame on a tiny image. I draw images like this with the same joke sometimes because I find it endlessly funny but can see how it is unbearable to others.
Also, screw minimalism and screw Hanna Barbera aesthetics. They suck. Why does my generation love it so much? Anyhow. Soldier on.

Cat Luthier (or Cathier)
This is a painting I did by request. It's a cat luthier with lots of different (mostly) string instruments hanging up. This cat is painted hopefully to look like their cat. See if you can guess all of the types of instruments!

Byoo-Byoo 2
This is the next image of the book. I'm not sure if my paintings hold up by themselves without a fancy border. Maybe I should branch out from my standard style. I'll try it for the next book. This time I'll keep at it. I like having thin black lines for my illustrations, even though I know solid Chuck-Jones flat tones are popular now. I'll soldier on and maybe my type of illustration will come to fashion.
